CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (Feb. 23, 2026) — A new women’s lifestyle and breast cancer fundraising event is coming to Cedar Rapids this spring. Made for Her will make its debut Saturday, March 14, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Hawkeye Downs Expo Center (4400 6th St SW, Cedar Rapids), inviting shoppers to enjoy an elevated “day out” filled with curated shopping, on-site experiences, live music, and meaningful community impact with fundraising for Especially for You in their mission to support individuals and families affected by breast cancer. 

This highly anticipated event is more than a market – it’s a celebration of women, makers, and community connection, with a strong focus on supporting an important local cause. Made for Her is designed with women in mind – whether she’s a mom, a grandmother, a sister, a daughter, or a best friend. This event is all about shopping, self-care, connection and supporting breast cancer services. Attendees can browse a curated mix of 150 makers, vendors, women-focused services, and enjoy an experience built for fun, friendship, and support.

Bring Your Crew (Or Come Solo!)

The Made for Her Market is built to be the perfect outing: bring your mom, bring your daughter, bring a friend… or come alone and treat yourself. And yes, men are welcome too (because let’s be honest… they come in pretty handy when it’s time to carry all those shopping bags!).

To make the day even more festive, Hawkeye Downs has added Pink Mimosas to the menu, creating the perfect “sip, shop, and support” atmosphere for the day.

And shoppers are encouraged to stop by the selfie stations placed throughout the event, ideal for capturing memories, snapping photos with friends, and sharing the Made for Her experience on social media.

Giving Back Together

As part of our Especially for You fundraising effort we’re pleased to share that:

• 10% of Made for Her door fees will be donated directly to Especially for You.
• Jewelry retailer Kendra Scott will be there and will donate 20% of their sales from the day to Especially for You.
• A number of the other 150 participating vendors will also donate a portion of their sales to support the mission too.

Together, these initiatives help turn a fun day of shopping and community into real support for local families navigating breast cancer.

Veteran Support, Community &  Music  

Adding to the upbeat atmosphere, shoppers will enjoy live music throughout the day from Guitar Tom, known as the “Sound of Made in Iowa,” bringing energy and familiar charm to the event experience.

Made for Her will also welcome the Freedom Stitchers of Eastern Iowa, who will be on-site to share information about how veterans can request a Quilt of Valor—a meaningful program that honors those who have served.
