Defining Success When You’re the Boss (of Everything)

Here’s the truth:
No one else gets to define success for you.
Not your accountant.
Not the algorithm.
Not your most competitive fellow vendor.
Just you.

So what does it look like for you?

  • Is it building something from nothing?
  • Is it balancing work with family and still creating time for art?
  • Is it surviving a difficult season and still showing up at your booth with a smile?

5 Ways to Start Redefining Success (Without the Burnout)

1. Name what really matters.

What’s more important to you than numbers?
Peace? Freedom? Creativity? Community?
Write them down. Post them where you can see them.

2. Acknowledge the invisible work.

Maybe you didn’t sell out your inventory—but you learned a new system, or finally figured out your display.
That counts.

3. Break up with “should.”

You don’t have to grow fast, do social media a certain way, or hit someone else’s revenue goal.
Your business. Your rules.

4. Celebrate the courage.

If you’ve risked your time, energy, or comfort to chase something you care about—you’re braver than most.
Never forget that.

5. Let your definition evolve.

It’s okay if success looks different now than it did five years ago—or five weeks ago.
That’s not failure. That’s growth.

So let me ask you again:

What does success look like when no one’s watching but you?

If you’ve:

  • Pushed through fear
  • Made something beautiful
  • Helped someone smile
  • Choose your peace over productivity…

Then you’re already succeeding.

Keep going. You’ve got this. 💛
